I’ll start with the most important part – Emily is AMAZING! The saddest day for Honey (and us) is when we had to move away from San Francisco.

As a totally non-dog related example to show how caring and empathetic she is – while we were travelling our cat was accidentally locked out of his food, and she was kind enough to stop by and let him out. Then the NEXT DAY, he got wrapped up in some cords, and Emily went out of her way to come save the kitty. Kitty was OK, and we owe her so much!

Now dog related – we adopted our dog Honey from the SPCA and immediately found she was extremely shy and sensitive. She was *terrified* of our first walker. Not so with Emily! She slowly came out of her shell, and became a happier and healthier pup. We’d say, “Is your Emily coming?” and Honey would immediately perk up and head for the stairs.

Emily worked so much with Honey, that her recall and leash walking all improved immensely, something that was a super pleasant surprise. Because of Honey’s improvement, we started doing regular(ish) Zoom training sessions. I have to say, Emily is a natural teacher, and I learned so much each session. I highly recommend the Zoom sessions – safe and socially distant! She also boarded Honey multiple times, and I honestly think Honey liked staying with her more than us 😛

Emily is patient in training (both me and my dog), and as a result, we always feel relaxed and grateful for Emily’s work and presence in our life.

Emily has completed multiple trainings with two of the most respected positive reinforcement training models.  And, when you see her in action, you will see she took the principles she learned in class and melded them into her true self.  She is love walking on legs and extending mercy and grace to pups that want to learn and owners too!  She has a gift and a calling.  She really knows how to train and care for dogs and their people.

Of course, if you need doggie help, you should try to work with Emily! Just please don’t take too much of her:)  She has a loyal following!

There is no better way to say this – Emily is THE best! Bruno has been going on hikes with her and her group for the last 7 months and we’re only leaving the group because I have moved down to the South Bay. Bruno was very protective and didn’t take to strangers very well before he started walking with Emily. His recall skills were…also a bit lacking :p As soon as he started the hikes, I immediately saw an improvement in his recall within the first 2 weeks! 7 months later, he has improved so much! Emily both helped Bruno improve, but also gave me so many different games and tricks to help him learn, gain confidence and meet new people in a way that wasn’t scary for him. Emily provided tons of updates on Bruno’s progress and which has helped me feel comfortable knowing he can be trusted around humans, other dogs (both big and small, young and old!) and off leash.
